About
A movement built by young people, for our communities.
Unheard Voices began with a simple question — why does it feel so hard to talk about mental health where we come from? We're here to change that answer.
Our story
Unheard Voices started as conversations between friends — young people from minority backgrounds noticing how often mental health went unspoken in their families, schools, and faith communities. What started as text threads and late-night calls grew into something bigger: a space where lived experience became education, and quiet struggles became collective strength.
Today, we organize peer-led circles, publish anonymous stories, create accessible mental health content, and partner with schools and community spaces to break the silence — together.
Mission
Reduce stigma. Expand access. Empower voices.
To dismantle mental health stigma in minority communities by empowering young people to share their stories, learn together, and connect with culturally relevant resources.
Vision
A generation where seeking support is celebrated.
A world where every young person — regardless of background — feels safe naming what they feel, seen in their experience, and supported in their healing.

Unheard Voices
"I built Unheard Voices because I grew up hearing that struggle meant weakness — and I watched too many of my friends carry that weight alone. This isn't just an organization. It's a promise: that no young person has to be silent about what they feel. That our voices, our cultures, and our healing matter."
